Shoutaro Higuchi is a seasoned technology executive and founder with over a decade of hands-on software engineering and product leadership experience, currently serving as CTO at multiple companies and CEO of TinyBetter. He began his career at Obic where he single-handedly developed and rolled out the Hignel groupware, later turning it into a commercial product that materially boosted company revenue. As head of a newly formed IT research lab he revamped development processes to rescue unprofitable projects, built an in-house developer training program, and led R&D in IoT and chatbot technologies. Since founding TinyBetter he has operated as a “programming-capable management consultant,” advising on cloud, IoT, AI, and automation projects for large retailers and industrial clients. An active open-source author, his GitHub and CodeProject contributions include high-performance C# libraries (OpenAI client, mail parser, object mapper, DAL generator) that reflect deep systems-level expertise. Based in Tokyo and a University of Tokyo alumnus, he still writes production code daily and combines entrepreneurial strategy with hands-on technical delivery.
