Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolShumpei Kikuta is the founder and CEO of LeapWell with eight years of hands-on experience building data platforms, MLOps pipelines, and computer vision systems for production. He combines deep ML research roots from the University of Tokyo and an exchange research stint in Sweden with practical experience deploying Kubernetes, Terraform, Datadog, and ELT/ETL stacks across GCP. Previously driving recommendation and ML infrastructure at Recruit and delivering video/vision solutions at AnyTech, he focuses on reliability-aware engineering and maintainable, deployable ML. He prioritizes operational ownership across teams—advocating that engineers ship code with monitoring and SRE-minded maintainability—and is actively turning that philosophy into consultancy products for clients. An appetite for virtualized, reusable infrastructure and a desire to build high-productivity, psychologically safe teams rounds out his founder/operator profile.
