Top SchoolSidan Gao is a data scientist and PhD candidate specializing in large-scale graph data management and Semantic Web query models, with a decade of experience bridging research and industry. At Lenovo and NC State's Semantic Computing Research Lab he has developed novel query models, indexing strategies, and optimization techniques for complex RDF path and constrained queries, enabling scalable discovery and argumentative reasoning. His work blends theoretical contributions—such as binary path representations and agglomerative query frameworks—with practical implementation strategies for efficient multi-source, multi-destination queries. Comfortable in both research and engineering settings, he pairs strong communication and teamwork skills with hands-on storage and coding experience. Based in Morrisville, NC, he brings an unusually deep database-centric lens to applied data science problems, turning complex graph-theoretic ideas into production-ready solutions.
