Top SchoolSidi Chang is an Applied Scientist with 10 years of experience applying probability, combinatorics, and simulation to large-scale optimization problems, currently working at Uber after a prior engineering role at Amazon. He blends academic training in Computational Operations Research with hands-on software engineering in Scala and parallel computing to deliver production-ready simulation and optimization systems. His work focuses on quantitative trading, optimization, and financial applications, where he translates mathematical models into robust, scalable pipelines. Based in San Francisco, he favors pragmatic solutions that balance theoretical rigor with real-world constraints. An understated strength is his ability to move between research-style modeling and engineering execution, making him adept at taking complex stochastic ideas into production.
