Simen Eide is a mathematician-turned-AI leader with over a decade of experience building large-scale recommender systems, bandit-driven experimentation frameworks, and Bayesian/statistical models for media, marketplaces and risk. He led Schibsted’s AI Enablement program—training a thousand employees and shipping production LLMs and recommender models—and drove a multi-fold increase in recommender share at FINN.no through rapid iteration and experimentation. Comfortable moving from prototype to production, he combines Monte Carlo and Bayesian risk expertise with neural approaches to solve discovery and personalization problems across behavior, image and text. A founder of Arctic Datalab and frequent speaker, he now runs eide.ai to consult and ship applied AI quickly (often via aggressive A/B tests). Outside work he’s equally at home in the mountains, which he credits for keeping his experimentation pace sustainable.
