Senior🎓
Top SchoolSimen Svenkerud is a senior consultant and multidisciplinary data professional with seven years’ experience turning large, messy registry datasets into robust statistical products and actionable insights. Trained as a health researcher (PhD/MSc) and with a background spanning statistics, data science, data engineering and platform work, he comfortably moves left and right across the tech stack. He has led product ownership and modernization efforts at Statistics Norway, built data pipelines at Storebrand, and mentors colleagues in Python, Spark and statistical methodology. Comfortable in Agile, multi‑stakeholder environments, he combines hands‑on coding with teaching and product thinking to deliver reproducible, performance‑driven systems. Adaptable and self‑motivated, he enjoys dissecting cause‑and‑effect patterns—and in his spare time applies the same empirical curiosity to studying early medieval archery and bow craftsmanship. Based in Hamar, Norway, he brings a rare blend of rigorous health research training and practical data engineering experience.
