Top SchoolSimon Cam is a multidisciplinary technical leader and co-founder with 11+ years shaping and scaling a successful design and development studio from the UK countryside. He blends hands-on engineering—architecting backends in Django/Node, building rich frontends in React/vanilla JS and experimenting with WebGL and physical computing—with strategic responsibilities in sales, hiring, finance and product delivery. As Technical Director he drives a culture of quality, maintainability and continuous learning, while creating tooling and CI/CD practices that keep teams productive. His background launching hybrid production units and leading creative-technical teams at agencies means he comfortably translates ambitious creative briefs into robust, business-critical systems. Simon is particularly invested in mentoring junior engineers and embedding pragmatic best-practice across organisations. Less obvious: he pairs high-level architecture with regular code contributions, preferring to stay hands-on even while leading company strategy.
