Top SchoolSimon Kojima is a postdoctoral researcher based in France with eight years of experience at the intersection of neuroscience, control systems, and computational modeling. Currently at Inria and a guest researcher at the Donders Institute, he investigates how internal states like human intention shape perception and behavior. His academic path — from a BE in electronics to an MEng and doctoral work in Functional Control Systems at Shibaura Institute of Technology — reflects a blend of engineering rigor and experimental neuroscience. Simon has held research roles at RIKEN and multiple positions at Shibaura, signaling strong collaborations across Japan and Europe. He pairs hands-on modeling and experimental design with a knack for translating complex control-theory concepts into testable cognitive neuroscience hypotheses. An interdisciplinary thinker, he often bridges theoretical frameworks and practical neurotechnology applications that are not immediately obvious from typical lab CVs.
