Senior🎓
Top SchoolSimone Cortesi is a maintenance engineering specialist with 16 years of hands-on experience optimizing industrial assets and implementing TPM, predictive maintenance, and lean methodologies across high-throughput manufacturing and logistics sites. He has driven maintenance strategy and spare-parts optimization for multi-site operations at Amazon and led plant shutdown projects, cross-functional teams, and contractor coordination at Bonfiglioli. His CERN studentship culminated in a 3D asset-mapping project and a tailored preventive maintenance program for CNC machines, experience he applied using Infor EAM. Comfortable bridging IT and field work, he has supported development of a company maintenance app and routinely turns breakdown data into pragmatic improvement plans and training. Based in Forlì, Italy, Simone combines formal mechanical engineering training with Politecnico di Milano courses in project management and strategy, bringing both technical depth and organizational rigor. Notably, his background spans heavy industry and high-tech research environments, giving him a rare perspective on scaling maintenance best practices from workshop to enterprise.
