Søren Poulsen is a data engineer with a decade of experience building high-performance, cloud-native data platforms across Europe and Singapore. Trained at DTU with a strong foundation in C++ and Python, he specializes in large-scale time-series and vehicle log data pipelines, cost-optimised storage, and task orchestration on AWS and Kubernetes. He combines a data-oriented, functional-minded design approach with hands-on DevOps (Terraform, Ansible) and experience operating both bare-metal and cloud environments. At Motional he delivered PB-scale storage and significant cost reductions through compression and compute optimisations, and now contributes similar expertise to GIC. Fluent in Danish and English and curious about Rust, Go and OCaml, he blends academic rigor from HPC and ML work with pragmatic production engineering.
