Senior🎓
Top SchoolStanislav Bashkyrtsev is a software leader and CEO of Elsci with 14 years of experience building high-performance, user-centric tools for life sciences. He left traditional domains to tackle chronic quality and UX problems in scientific software, turning domain immersion—reading papers, visiting labs, even running experiments—into a core part of product discovery. Under his leadership Elsci delivers niche, production-grade platforms from HPLC data management and compound tracking to crystallography and molecule drawing, prioritizing sub-second responsiveness and fast onboarding. His background spans engineering, QA, ops/CICD and product leadership at firms like EPAM, where he democratized high-throughput experimentation for chemists. Known for a pragmatic, almost ideological commitment to “diligence,” he blends hardcore technical depth (especially databases and architecture) with obsession over usability. Based in Helsinki, he runs a company that aims to be an independent, healthier alternative to in-house pharma software development.
