Top SchoolStanley Nelson is a backend-focused software engineer with 11 years of industry experience and about four years specializing in Elixir, Phoenix, Ecto, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL. He currently helps manage and evolve multiple backend systems, prioritizing architecture, data modeling, idempotent workflows, and refactoring legacy code to improve correctness and long-term maintainability. Bringing nearly a decade of prior SaaS-facing roles supporting implementations, analytics, and integrations, he designs systems with product and customer needs in mind and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver measurable outcomes. Actively growing into a fullstack engineer, he pairs backend rigor with hands-on React and Phoenix LiveView experience and a pragmatic focus on ownership and technical tradeoffs. Based in Sandy, Utah, he blends systems-thinking with a practical history of shipping analytics and reporting features that inform real business decisions.
