Summary
Steffen Jacobsen is a seasoned maritime executive and board member with over three decades of leadership across technical fleet management, commercial operations, and asset stewardship in the gas, tanker and offshore sectors. As Evergas CEO (2015–2022) he led rapid growth, established in-house technical management, executed a strategic fleet divestment and steered a profitable turnaround while personally driving the sale process and maintaining service levels. Previously he delivered major cost savings and operational control at Maersk Drilling and Maersk Tankers, overseeing thousands of seafarers and hundreds of technical staff globally. He combines deep technical know-how—from newbuilds, FPSO projects and container equipment—to governance roles including SIGTTO presidency and multiple board and advisory positions focused on decarbonisation and marine technology. Based in Copenhagen, he now advises on CO2 and ammonia maritime projects and sits on boards for ballast-water and accommodation-vessel businesses, applying hands-on operational rigor to emerging clean-energy logistics. An uncommon strength is his track record of holding complex sale processes together operationally while simultaneously driving growth into new segments such as CO2 shipping.
