Top SchoolStepan Semiokhin is a Principal Software Engineer based in Berlin with 11 years of experience building resilient, data-intensive platforms in Scala and Java. He has led teams of 10+ engineers to design and ship Software-Defined factory platforms and execution engines, combining DSL design, Akka-based architectures, and heavy integration with data buses and robotics. Deeply experienced in the Hadoop ecosystem, Spark, and stream processing, he pairs production-grade Big Data and ML pipelines with pragmatic operational troubleshooting. Stepan embraces functional Scala (including ZIO) to simplify complex systems and make them easier to support, and he routinely translates user feedback into DSL and API improvements. Colleagues describe him as an accessible, results-driven leader who prefers clean, maintainable solutions over clever complexity.
