Top SchoolStephen Mcveigh is a Technical Consultant with eight years’ experience specialising in ETL and the Informatica suite, currently based in Glasgow and working out of Ireland. A First Class graduate in Computer Games Software Development, he combines strong software-engineering fundamentals (Java, C/C++, C#, SQL) with deep data-integration expertise across Informatica Data Quality, PowerCenter and Big Data Management. He has led technical delivery and tool integration work at HCLTech—bringing EDC, StreamSets and MongoDB into production pipelines—and now advises clients at Talan. Comfortable across cloud and on-prem data platforms (Azure, Netezza) and versed in front-end/web tooling, he pairs hands-on mapping development with a pragmatic focus on data quality and lineage. An uncommon blend for a data engineer, his background in game development and an AR internship gives him a practical, systems-oriented perspective on user-focused solutions.
