Senior🎓
Top SchoolSteve Aitken is a founder and technology board member with over two decades of experience turning industrial data into operational advantage, currently leading Intelligent Plant and chairing digital transformation work on the UK energy Technology Leadership Board. He builds practical analytics and app ecosystems—most notably the Industrial App Store—to help operators own their data, reduce waste, and accelerate deployment of real‑time, IoT and cognitive computing solutions. Based in Aberdeen, he combines hands‑on software and control‑systems expertise with a track record of scaling SME innovation into industry partnerships and policy impact. A seasoned speaker and university entrepreneur-in-residence, he frequently bridges research and industry to commercialize analytics that support net-zero objectives. Not obvious from his headline: he began his career fixing failing real‑time control applications and has carried that pragmatic, problem‑solving approach into strategy and platform design.
