Top SchoolSteve Guns is a Big Data Architect and code-first DevOps/platform engineer with 13+ years of experience building, automating and operating data-driven solutions from prototype to production. Based in Aarschot, Belgium, he leads VDAB's LAB tooling and release processes—creating a Python framework and single-line release manager to run projects on Spark and streamline deployments. A pragmatic polyglot, he pairs hands-on platform work (Docker, Jenkins, groovy pipelines) with front-end prototyping in Laravel and Vue to make analytics tangible for business users. He also runs a long-standing consulting practice and community sites, reflecting an entrepreneurial streak and broad full-stack background from PHP frameworks to MySQL/MongoDB and Linux ops. An internationalization contributor to the popular Yii2 framework, he brings attention to detail and real-world multilingual experience often overlooked in data projects.
