Summary
👤
SeniorSteve Lyall is a pragmatic software engineering manager with 12 years of hands-on development and six years leading teams across SaaS, professional services, and enterprise projects. He blends full-stack craftsmanship—from mobile and web apps to cloud-native services—with a strong eye for aligning engineering work to business outcomes. Steve has repeatedly accelerated delivery and quality, from boosting test coverage 60% in three months for a healthcare MVP to driving API reliability and customer retention in LegalTech and video platforms. He builds and scales teams practically—recruiting, mentoring, and creating cultures of clarity and belonging that yield measurable impact, including growing a startup engineering org to 14 people. Prior roles span telco order-fulfillment systems to digital banking and embedded professional services, giving him uncommon fluency across regulated domains like healthcare and finance. Based in Greater Vancouver, he pairs technical depth with coaching experience and a Harvard CORe credential, making him a strong partner for technology strategy and growth.
