Top SchoolSteve Salas is a focused software developer and founder with two decades of Microsoft-platform experience and a proven track record leading virtual teams on public sector projects. After nearly 13 years at Microsoft as a Principal Consultant—where he earned practice-level recognition and a Dream Team award—he founded Blue Windover in 2016 to pursue new challenges and build high-quality software. He combines a learning mindset and humility with strong communication and Agile Scrum certification, consistently delivering projects on time and on budget. Known as a problem-solving perfectionist rather than a “rock star,” he mentors teams, embraces “I don’t know” as a starting point for discovery, and keeps sharpening skills through self-study. With a Master’s in Information Systems (GPA 3.96) and hands-on experience from Harris to Applied Visions, he brings both technical depth and customer-focused delivery to every engagement.
