Senior🎓
Top SchoolSteven Chand is a senior full-stack engineer and engineering leader with over a decade of experience delivering production software across health-tech and security domains. He has led teams and shipped products at startups and scale-ups—most recently steering frontend and product development for clinical data platform Smart Omix and currently building at ValidMind. Comfortable across the full SDLC, Steven combines rapid prototyping skills with a focus on robust, scalable systems and has moved between hands-on engineering and director-level roles multiple times. His background includes low-level cryptography and embedded integrations from earlier R&D work, giving him uncommon depth in security and systems engineering for a full-stack leader. Based in Surrey, BC, he blends startup resilience with institutional rigor—able to translate complex healthcare data needs into user-facing, compliant software.
