Steven Ludtke is a professor at Baylor College of Medicine and codirector of the National Center for Macromolecular Imaging and the Center for Computational and Integrative Bioinformatics Research, with over three decades of experience bridging physics, microscopy, and scientific software. He leads research in transmission electron cryomicroscopy, single-particle analysis and tomography, and develops widely used image-processing suites (EMAN and EMEN) that underpin much of modern structural biology.
