Top SchoolSudarshan Muralidhar is an engineering leader and software developer with 12 years of experience building high-throughput distributed systems and cloud-native data platforms. He has led teams and product initiatives at MongoDB and Igneous (acquired by Rubrik), where he architected mission-critical data movers that process petabytes and billions of files, and later co-founded Upbeat, a bootstrapped virtual music platform that reached 200,000 users and 5,000 schools before acquisition. Currently based in Los Angeles and now at Canary Technologies, he blends hands-on technical depth in systems, storage, and APIs with people leadership and mentorship. Beyond engineering he brings entrepreneurial grit—growing products from PoC to multi-team production—and a creative side as a flute player and Taido Karate black belt that informs his collaborative, disciplined approach. Notably, he has a strong academic foundation from University of Pennsylvania and a track record of shipping complex distributed features end-to-end while fostering team culture and morale.
