Top SchoolSugendran Ganess is a seasoned engineering leader with 15 years’ experience building and operating large-scale systems across startups and enterprise environments, now serving as Head of Engineering at Ordermentum in Sydney. He blends hands-on engineering—spanning frontend, backend, cloud migrations and data platforms—with people and process leadership, previously driving AWS migrations at Skyscanner and technical strategy at Culture Amp. Comfortable moving between code and strategy, he has led SRE, platform and performance initiatives for services serving tens of millions of users and managed terabyte-scale financial data platforms. A polyglot and systems thinker who mentors tech leads and fosters engineering communities, he also founded Getmployd to help candidates craft better resumes. Outside the obvious metrics, he’s equally focused on creating accountable teams and pragmatic instrumentation (SLIs/SLOs) so systems and people reliably scale together.
