Top SchoolSujay Garlanka is a software engineer with nine years of experience building scalable APIs, enterprise data pipelines, and robotics research tools. He has led major re-architectures at Box, migrating cron-based reporting to Apache Spark to process up to 114 billion rows daily and maintaining SDKs that drive over a million API calls per minute. In robotics, Sujay developed action primitives and a distributed RL training setup for OmniGibson at Stanford, including a 20x speedup in collision detection using low-level IsaacSim primitives. He bridges research and production: full-stack and backend expertise across Java, .NET, Python, and Node.js, plus open-source contributions to high-profile Box SDKs. Sujay’s work often targets developer ergonomics and operational scale—examples include pagination and metadata enhancements in multiple SDKs and a lightweight iOS networking rewrite that cut SDK size by 70%. Based in the DC–Baltimore area, he combines academic rigor in robotics (USC MS) with proven impact in developer-facing platforms.
