Top SchoolSunday Ezeilo is a Senior Backend Engineer based in London with 6–7 years of hands-on experience building high-throughput, resilient payment and onboarding systems. At Partna (YC W22) he scaled platform throughput 3×, cut P99 latency by 80%, and raised payment success to 99.3% through provider failover and duplicate-safe processing. He designs reliable event-driven APIs and webhooks, has driven observability and testing improvements that reduced MTTR to minutes and test suites from 10 minutes to 30 seconds, and champions clear service boundaries to speed onboarding. Technically fluent in Go, TypeScript/Node.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka/RabbitMQ and AWS, he balances performance optimization with cost reduction. Previously he built biometric and IoT integrations in academia, showing a knack for hardware-software projects alongside large-scale backend work. Known for mentoring peers and codifying architecture standards, he partners closely with product and design to reduce integration friction and deliver measurable business outcomes.
