Senior🎓
Top SchoolSuraj Barthy is an award-winning product designer and media artist based in Brooklyn, blending nine years of cross-disciplinary experience across UX, AR/VR, physical computing, and code. He builds accessible, data-informed products for mobile, web, and XR—partners have included Microsoft and Samsung—and currently designs product experiences at Castle after a recent stint shaping habit-forming features at Quit With Jones. As a researcher and educator (Post-Doc resident and adjunct at NYU Tisch), he frames design through investigations of time and connectedness while running an 8+ year Everyday Art Project that evidences a practice-first approach to craft. Suraj’s background in chemical engineering, interaction design, and art & technology gives him a rare systems-thinking perspective that surfaces in both pragmatic design systems work and experimental media. Notably, he balances commercial product delivery with festival-showcased art and ongoing teaching, signaling a designer who ships polished UX and still treats constraints as creative prompts.
