Top SchoolSusan Crayne is a Senior Android Software Engineer based in New York with 10 years of experience building native Android and React Native apps that solve real-world problems, from emergency 911 text access to climate action and public health. She has led end-to-end projects—designing UI/UX, architecting apps, mentoring junior developers, and shipping products to the App Store and Play Store—while also creating backend data tooling and scrapers when needed. Her recent work at EarthHero focuses on Kotlin Android features to help users mitigate climate change, and prior roles include architecting the accesSOS app that integrates GPS, Mapbox, and FCC PSAP location data for accessible emergency communication. Susan’s background spans startups to research labs (including an 11-year tenure at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center), reflecting both hands-on implementation skills and systems-level engineering. She’s comfortable bridging product, accessibility, and data cleanup challenges—an engineer who pivots between native performance and cross-platform practicality.
