Top SchoolSvetlana Kyas is a Senior Software Engineer based in Zurich with eight years of professional experience blending research-grade numerical methods and production C++ systems. She specializes in modernizing and operating real-time middleware—bringing automated testing and CI/CD into legacy codebases to improve reliability and reduce technical debt. Her background as a postdoctoral researcher in computational PDEs and contributions to an open-source chemical reaction solver inform a strong foundation in mathematical modeling and algorithm design that she applies to distributed systems and data synchronization. Comfortable across academia and industry, she has led coordination of complex projects—from ticket reservation bookkeeping to scientific conference organization—demonstrating both technical depth and operational rigor. Colleagues describe her as drawn to tricky mathematical and programming challenges and quick to adopt new technologies to solve them.
