Tajul Ariffin is an award-winning cybersecurity educator and practitioner with over a decade of professional experience and a career that began in Malaysia’s SmartSchool Project in 2003. As co-founder and former CTO/Technical Leader of the Cyber Range Academy, he builds hands-on cyber range testbeds and trains Blue Team and Red Team capabilities, now extending that expertise as a Senior Lecturer and strategic cybersecurity advisor. He has led security efforts in both product (RunCloud Security Lead) and academic settings, frequently presenting at international conferences such as Sharkfest and EduTech Asia and contributing to national media on security awareness. Currently pursuing a PhD in IoT/Cyber Range at UKM, he blends deep packet-analysis and digital forensics skills with cloud-era threat modeling to improve capacity planning and training outcomes.
