Top SchoolThalys Viana is a Senior iOS Engineer with 9 years of experience building performant, scalable apps and SDKs across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS from Ceará, Brazil. He has a strong product mindset and a proven track record modernizing legacy codebases—migrating RxSwift projects to SwiftUI and Combine, modularizing large apps, and improving test coverage and memory performance at companies like PayPal and AE Studio. He’s delivered cross-platform tooling (codegen for analytics used by iOS and Android), built a Swift SDK that interoperates with Rust via UniFFI, and authored Capacitor plugins for video streaming. A WWDC 2019 scholarship winner, Thalys blends hands-on engineering with mentorship and analytics-driven product decisions, often surfacing non-obvious optimizations that improve UX and app ratings.
