Top SchoolTheron Boerner is a Software Developer 2 based in Austin with 12 years of hands-on experience building reliable web and infrastructure systems across e-commerce, manufacturing, and trading domains. He specializes in Elixir (Phoenix, Ash, Ecto, OTP), PostgreSQL, and developer workflows with Git, and has repeatedly delivered low-latency user experiences and production optimizations (including sub-100ms UI targets and CPU reductions). Theron has practical distributed-systems and DevOps interests—demonstrated by real-time WebSocket architectures, greenfield storage infrastructure, and off-site backup solutions that prevented downtime. A long-time open-source contributor, he maintains a variety of tooling and bindings (from RS232 FFI work to signal processing), showing an ability to bridge low-level systems and web stacks. He’s adaptable across languages and frameworks, mentors junior engineers, and combines pragmatic engineering with an emphasis on business continuity and observability. Currently finishing a BS in Computer Science at the University of Chicago, he blends academic rigor with a decade of production engineering.
