Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolThijmen Dam is a software engineer based in Groningen with nine years of experience building full-stack applications, cloud deployments, and data-driven research tools. Currently at RDW, he previously combined engineering and research at the ERC and University of Groningen to automate extraction, classification and predictive modeling of eviction case law across Dutch courts. He has hands-on experience delivering scalable messaging platforms on AWS with CI/CD, and a background in web development and client-facing projects using WordPress. Thijmen pairs technical curiosity with clear communication and a strong drive for continuous improvement, often seeking feedback to iterate faster. Outside work he channels creativity into videos, music and cooking—an inclination that shows up in pragmatic, well-crafted engineering. His uncommon blend of legal-text analysis experience and production-grade deployment skills makes him effective at turning large, messy text datasets into reliable software.
