Top SchoolThomas Brasington is a design-engineering founder and owner based in London with over a decade building scalable design systems for premium brands like NET-A-PORTER, Mr Porter and Burberry. He specializes in platform-agnostic component libraries, design tokens and the processes that keep systems healthy as teams scale across web, iOS and Android. Thomas helps product teams adopt AI-assisted coding tools while arguing that solid architecture must precede acceleration—he's written on how AI-generated code can compound technical debt. His work spans e-commerce, editorial and app experiences as well as health-, fin- and edu-tech, and he combines research, prototyping and co-creation to validate ideas early. As founder of Design Engineering Studio and multiple startups, he uniquely marries brand strategy with engineering discipline to make systems that work for both humans and LLMs.
