Thomas Suarez is a founder and engineering leader who blends software, firmware, and electrical engineering to prototype wearable and spatial-computing products used every day since 2013. As Founder and CTO/CEO of Raven Resonance and formerly Teleportal, he has led cross-disciplinary teams to build AR glasses, multi-user SDKs, and real-time spatial engines, raising venture funding and shipping consumer-facing experiences. He’s hands-on across Rust, C/C++, embedded ESP32 firmware, RTOS, and cloud-native tooling, and has taken products through EVT/DVT/PVT and international manufacturing validation. A Thiel Fellow with research experience at Georgia Tech and Samsung Research, he pairs human-computer interaction insights with pragmatic product engineering. Notably, he started building AR-enabled networking engines as a high-school side project that evolved into scalable creator tools with hundreds of thousands of users. Based in San Francisco, he focuses on intuitive interfaces and custom OS work that bridge apps and physical objects.
