Senior🎓
Top SchoolTom G is a Senior DevOps Engineer based in Berlin with nine years of hands-on experience architecting and operating large-scale distributed systems. A self-taught engineer, he focuses on reliability through automation and observability, having led migrations to cost-efficient monitoring stacks (Loki/Grafana/Tempo/Mimir) and implemented DataHub, Nominatim, and Flink-powered ML feature pipelines. He has strong cloud-platform expertise across AWS and GCP, practical experience moving workloads to EKS, and a track record of hardening delivery pipelines, secrets management, and incident response. Tom pairs platform engineering with data and ML infra work—enabling anti-fraud models on SageMaker and integrating regulatory reporting systems—so he comfortably spans both infra and data domains. His public code and technical writing (github.com/7onn and 7onn.dev) reflect a pragmatic, cost-aware approach to engineering and a taste for tooling that prevents problems before they reach users.
