Top SchoolTroy Fine is an Edge Computing Engineer at IBM specializing in decentralized IoT software delivery with IBM Edge Application Manager and the open-source Open Horizon platform. Over eight years he has combined hands-on embedded development—deploying ML models and microservices to ARM, Jetson, and x86 devices—with low-level skills in C/C++, Python, Assembly, Verilog, and network programming. His background in computer engineering and physics enables him to bridge hardware-software integration and AI/ML deployment at the edge. Prior entrepreneurial experience running an online retail business and building connected products gives him practical product sense and a knack for end-to-end ownership. Based in San Francisco, he focuses on automating intelligent machine-to-machine relationships and operationalizing neural networks on constrained devices.
