Top SchoolTroy Smith is an academic leader in business ethics and conscious capitalism with nine years of faculty experience and a trajectory from assistant professor to the McDonald Family Chair at the University of Oklahoma. He blends rigorous organizational behavior research (PhD, Texas A&M) with practical program-building across higher education, having designed recruitment, retention, and bilingual instruction initiatives earlier in his career. Troy’s work spans teaching, applied research, and institutional strategy, and he has a track record of implementing administrative systems and evaluation processes that improve organizational performance. Based in Lincoln, Nebraska, he brings cross-cultural engagement—evident from recruiter roles and Spanish-language outreach—to his scholarship on ethical management. He also signals a creative side outside academia—“writing bad ballads”—that suggests a communicator comfortable connecting with diverse audiences. This mix of scholarly depth, practical administration, and cultural fluency positions him to advance responsible leadership in business and education.
