Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolUmut Bektaş is a seasoned software developer and system administrator with 9 years of experience building and operating web services and cloud-native systems from Istanbul. He combines deep Linux and systems expertise with Python/Django web development and a pragmatic command of CI/CD to deliver reliable production services. His career blends hands-on roles—from IT manager and system administrator to Head of Cloud Software Development and a brief CTO stint—reflecting both operational discipline and leadership in delivery. Comfortable across stacks (Linux, Windows Server, Hyper-V, PHP/Laravel, databases), he excels at turning legacy environments into automated, maintainable platforms. Outside work he’s the kind of engineer who enjoys watching well-orchestrated systems run themselves, a hint at his preference for automation and observability.
