Uriel Katz is a seasoned technology leader and co-founder currently serving as CTO of NoTraffic, where he applies AI and real-time systems to modernize urban traffic management. With 15+ years of experience building scalable infrastructure and embedded-to-cloud systems, he blends hands-on coding (from Python to occasional assembly) with product-driven engineering leadership. Before NoTraffic he was an early engineer at Trusteer and later led multiple infrastructure and DevOps teams through its IBM acquisition, driving migrations and secure engineering practices. He has a strong history of founding and contributing to open-source projects—from Python ports and gevent enhancements to early ORMs—and has repeatedly built teams from scratch and groomed successors. Uriel also brings social-impact experience as CTO/advisor for assistive-technology startup Click2Speak, demonstrating an ability to translate technical innovation into real-world benefits. Based in Tel Aviv, he combines systems-level thinking with a habit of optimizing performance and shipping pragmatic solutions.
