Top SchoolUsman Ayub is an associate engineer with 11 years of experience focused on bringing AI to resource-constrained edge devices by designing low-power NPUs and RISC-V accelerators and rigorously verifying their correctness. He specializes in SystemVerilog/UVM-based testbenches and AXI4 protocol validation, having driven verification sign-off efforts and closed extensive Synopsys covergroups in complex crossbar IP. At Xcelerium he combines hands-on RTL testing with automation using Python and Tcl, and manages workflows with GitLab and Jira to deliver reusable, production-grade verification environments. His background bridges embedded systems design and machine learning inference optimization, enabling real-time intelligence for IoT and autonomous systems. Based in Islamabad, he pairs academic foundations from NUST with practical industry impact, and he’s also engaged in robotics and cognitive-science–informed ML work beyond chip design. Notably, he moves seamlessly between architectural design and detailed verification, ensuring accelerators meet both performance and functional-coverage goals.
