Utkarsh Choubey
Summary
Utkarsh Choubey is a Senior Software Engineer with four years of hands-on experience building backend systems, cloud-native services, and native Android apps, currently driving pipelines and template services at Harness. A strong competitive programmer and NIT Raipur alumnus (B.Tech, 9.14 CPI), he has shipped features across Spring, Django, AWS/GCP, Python, Java, C++ and Go, and was recognized as a top performer at Harness. He co-founded Gymnash and developed multiple Android apps (6+ live, 2k+ downloads) including Suraksha.ai, a facial-recognition time-clock adopted by a state government, demonstrating product-focused engineering beyond core platform work. His early research stint at IISc and internships at Avalara and Clumio reflect a blend of academic rigor and production-grade engineering, while contributions to payments and backup/restore solutions show versatility across domains. Known for taking ownership—single-handedly making services independently deployable and designing resilient failure/retry strategies—he combines startup grit with enterprise delivery.
