Top SchoolVaggelis Karvounis is an SRE and Lead Platform Engineer with 11 years of experience designing and operating resilient, secure cloud platforms across AWS, GCP and Azure. He has a proven track record driving DevSecOps at scale—managing 2,000+ Terraform workspaces, replacing static cloud credentials with just-in-time dynamic credentials, and cutting deployment time and costs through predictive autoscaling while sustaining a 99.99% availability SLO. Comfortable both leading teams and getting hands-on, he has built multi-cloud Kubernetes fleets, large Elasticsearch and database clusters, and automated CI/CD pipelines to bake security into the software supply chain. Based in Greece, he combines formal software development and engineering education with a pragmatic focus on measurable operational improvements and mentor-driven team growth. An understated strength is his ability to translate complex infrastructure security changes into routine developer workflows, substantially reducing organizational risk without slowing delivery.
