Top SchoolVal Gorodnichev is a Principal Software Engineer with over a decade of experience building and guiding engineering work at enterprise software companies, currently shaping platform and product architecture at Kong after a long tenure at SAP Concur. He brings deep institutional knowledge of large-scale systems and pragmatic delivery from operating inside both a major travel-expense SaaS vendor and an API/integration-focused infrastructure company. Trained originally as a mechanical engineer, Val pairs rigorous systems thinking with software craftsmanship to solve complex reliability and integration challenges. Based in the greater Minneapolis–St. Paul area, he is a steady technical leader who focuses on scalable, maintainable solutions and mentoring cross-functional teams. Though not a prolific public GitHub presence, his career longevity and role continuity suggest a strong track record of driving long-lived, production-grade systems.
