👤
SeniorValery Ayala is a Senior Staff Software Engineer in New York with a decade-plus track record of evolving from data engineer to technical leader at Oscar Health, where he currently focuses on "taming data chaos" across the platform. He blends full-stack development chops with data engineering and people leadership, having led teams as Associate Director and Tech Lead while shipping production systems that support healthcare operations. Earlier roles at Bridgewater, BNY Mellon and Bank of America sharpened his expertise in risk-sensitive, high-throughput systems. A Dartmouth-trained mathematician with a computer science-modified engineering background, he brings mathematical rigor to pragmatic software design.
