Top SchoolValts Blukis is a research scientist at NVIDIA with nine years of experience at the intersection of machine learning, NLP, computer vision, and robotics, focused on mapping first-person sensor data and language to robot control. He completed a PhD-level research trajectory at Cornell and has interned at top labs including Google, NVIDIA, and AWS, blending academic rigor with industry impact. Valts began his career in low-level embedded and driver development, giving him uncommon cross-stack fluency from ARM assembly and PCB design to modern ML systems. Based in Redmond, he drives practical advances in enabling robots to understand and act in unstructured human environments, often favoring end-to-end systems that close perception-to-action loops.
