Top SchoolVarun Adibhatla is a data and infrastructure leader with a decade of experience building analytics, geospatial, and production data systems across public interest and utility sectors. He currently heads Data Science & Analytics at NYC School Bus Umbrella Services while leading infrastructure practice work at Groundwork Data, focusing on electrified, equitable transportation and clean energy transitions. Varun’s background blends hands-on reliability engineering and ML-driven geospatial products—previously delivering damage-prevention models for utilities and cost/usage observability at scale. He has translated urban data research into policy and classroom teaching as an adjunct at NYU, and helped design decision-support systems for global health financing at the World Bank. Comfortable in both startup growth and mission-driven nonprofits, he brings a pragmatic emphasis on transparency and auditable infrastructure. A detail that surprises: his profile points to a storymap project, signaling a knack for combining narrative mapping with technical tooling to make complex infrastructure data accessible.
