Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolVasileios Kotronis is a software engineering technical leader and former CTO with 8+ years of experience building and scaling real-time BGP observability and network security platforms. He combines deep research pedigree (ETH Zurich, FORTH) in Internet routing and SDN with hands-on product and DevOps expertise—designing microservices, Kubernetes-based pipelines, and high-throughput data ingestion for BGP/BMP and RPKI telemetry. At ThousandEyes he leads backend engineering for real-time BGP data processing and alerting, while previously co-founding Code BGP and shipping the ARTEMIS open-source hijack detection tooling into production-grade SaaS. He’s equally comfortable in low-level routing protocols and cloud-native stacks, automating workflows to turn research-grade network measurements into operational products. Based in Greece, he thrives on hard engineering problems at Internet scale and has a track record of moving academic prototypes into commercial services.
