Top SchoolVenkata Chimata is a founder and senior engineer with nine years of focused experience building firmware and networking software for Wi‑Fi routers, mesh systems, enterprise APs and IoT devices. He combines deep hands‑on expertise in OpenWrt/OpenWiFi, Qualcomm/Broadcom/MediaTek SDKs, WLAN drivers (ath9k/ath11k) and embedded Linux with practical product delivery—leading board bring‑ups, custom mesh/repeater firmware and a peer‑to‑peer VPN (Nearhop VPN using Nebula). His career includes shipping commercial APs and features like WIDS/WIPS and advanced RRM, and he has integrated agents such as Minim’s unum into multiple router platforms. Based in Hyderabad, he pairs systems‑level C and firmware work with Golang and protobuf for telemetry, and has even bridged BLE/Wi‑Fi between ESP32‑S3 and STM32 for IoT integrations—showing a knack for solving both low‑level driver challenges and end‑to‑end product problems.
