Summary
🤩
RockstarVicente Canales is a Senior Software Engineer with 11 years of full-stack experience building high-performance web applications and user-focused interfaces. He combines deep frontend expertise in JavaScript, React and Next.js with backend skills in Node.js, PHP and Go, and has a track record of shipping production features across startups and larger teams. As a long-time contributor to WordPress Core and the high-profile Gutenberg project at Automattic, he’s improved navigation, accessibility and theme UI across widely used WordPress themes and blocks. Vicente’s work spans browser-specific UI fixes to architectural frontend features—demonstrating both attention to pixel-perfect UX (Safari bug fixes, overlay menus) and systemic improvements to editor behavior. Now based in Santiago and currently at Topsort, he blends open-source leadership with pragmatic product delivery and a continuous curiosity for new tools and patterns.
