Senior🎓
Top SchoolVíctor Gutierrez is a founder and seasoned software engineer with 11 years of experience building and scaling engineering teams across banks, startups, and edtech in Peru and Latam. He has led API and engineering communities at Scotiabank, co-founded and exited Deep Pit Technology, and now runs Deep Skill Academy to train the next generation of engineers while driving deep-tech projects in mining. Comfortable moving between hands-on backend development (Java, Spring, Python, Django, Go) and technical leadership, he also serves as a fractional tech lead tackling architecture, cloud deployments, and complex workflows for growth-stage businesses. Víctor’s background spans startups like Crehana and Fandango to large financial institutions, giving him a pragmatic balance of delivery discipline and entrepreneurial risk-taking. An unexpected thread through his career is a long-standing interest in applied math and tooling—evident from early work in C++ and academic technical writing—that informs his approach to algorithms and data-focused solutions.
